Writer's Block: Are you incentivized?

Are there any buzz words or catch-phrases--such as incentivize or at the end of the day--that make you cringe? What are they, and why do you hate them?

There's a couple that really get my goat. The one I absolutely hate the most is "The world is (somebody's) oyster". It apparently means that you have a life of opportunities ahead, but I especially hate it because it is always used to refer to someone who has false hope about their future and is about to have their dreams crushed. It has been used to refer to me. Plus, the world is not an oyster...nor is it a giant turtle.

I hate the word insipid if spoken by a socialite or old person because they say it like a snake hissing.

I hate the saying "There are more fish in the sea" because it's worn out.

I do not like "Kawaii desu" because people use it a lot and don't know quite what it means and it's the official catchphrase of weeaboos.

That's about all I can think of now.
